Zorawar Daulet Singh
Author and Foreign Affairs Analyst
Zorawar Daulet Singh is an author and foreign affairs analyst based in New Delhi. He is an Adjunct Fellow at the Institute of Chinese Studies. He was previously a fellow at the Centre for Policy Research. Daulet Singh holds a PhD in international relations from King’s College London.
For the past 15 years, he has been a commentator and columnist on India’s foreign policy and its role in world order, diplomatic history and various dimensions of India–China relations. Daulet Singh’s critically acclaimed 2019 work on India’s strategic history, Power and Diplomacy: India’s Foreign Policies during the Cold War was released in 2022 as a paperback edition by Oxford University Press.
His recent work on India-China relations, Powershift: India-China relations in a Multipolar World, received the Kalinga Literary Festival Book of the Year Award 2020-21 in the category of Diplomacy/Strategic Affairs. His previous books include India–China Relations: The Border Issue and Beyond and Chasing the Dragon: Will India Catch up with China?
