Sridhar Vembu

Sridhar Vembu is the founder and CEO of Zoho Corp, India’s first billion-dollar IT product company. Zoho Corp focuses on office suite and web-based business tools. He was awarded a Padma Shri on the occasion of India’s 72nd Republic Day in 2021. He has been featured on the cover of Forbes India magazine.

Zoho Corp originally began in 1996, and was called AdventNet. It was only in 2009 that it became Zoho Corp. Zoho Corp has launched a number of platforms - Arattai in 2021 (an alternative to Signal and Telegram), Zoho One in 2017 (a unified communications platform), Zoho Desk [a customer experience management (CMX)] in 2016 and began the Zoho University (an alternative to conventional colleges) programme in 2005. In 2023, Zoho Corp recorded the highest profit among Indian internet companies. Sridhar Vembu graduated with a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras, and a PhD from Princeton University.
