Ranjit Rae retired as Ambassador of India to Nepal in 2017 after an extensive career in the Indian Foreign Service spanning over three decades. He has recently published a book titled Kathmandu Dilemma: Resetting India-Nepal Ties (Penguin 2021) and has written several articles on Nepal in national dailies.
