Nihar R. Nayak

Dr. Nihar R. Nayak is Research Fellow with IDSA, New Delhi. His area of expertise is Domestic Politics in Nepal and Bhutan, Climate Change impacts in the Himalayas, Energy, and Political violence (Maoist Conflict) in South Asia. Dr. Nayak has completed PhD in International Politics from JNU. Dr. Nayak has national and international publications including the book “Strategic Himalayas: Republican Nepal and External Powers”. He recently published a monograph on “Political Changes in Nepal and Bhutan: Emerging Trends in Foreign Policy in the post-2008 period” published by MP-IDSA in September 2021.
