Diana Benoit

Diana Benoit is the Director of the James R. Mancham Peace and Diplomacy Research Institute at the University of Seychelles, an academic research institute focusing on eastern Africa and the western Indian Ocean Region. She is a founding member of the institute and is actively involved in research projects on peacebuilding, conflict and security, transitional justice, and restorative justice. Her recent projects include examining factors influencing recidivism in Seychelles and the transitional justice processes in small island developing states. She is currently engaged in a doctoral study on the nexus between trauma healing and peacebuilding, which includes an action research element.
