Siddhant Hira

Siddhant Hira is a Research Associate at NatStrat. He focuses on Chinese aggression in the Indian Ocean Region and, India’s Special Forces, Intelligence and Foreign Policy.

Siddhant holds a Master’s in National Security Studies from the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. During his Master’s, he participated in the Atlantic Council Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge as well as the United Kingdoms’s Cabinet Office National Security Secretariat’s Policy Hackathon. Siddhant is also a 2024 Non-resident Fellow at the Irregular Warfare Initiative.

He was previously the first and last Defence Correspondent at Outlook Business, with additional bylines in ABP Live (India), The Financial Express (India), The Diplomat (USA), the Observer Research Foundation (India), the Institute of Chinese Studies (India), Project O Five (Canada), OFCS.Report (Italy) and The Defence Archive (India). Siddhant has also been featured on Taiwanese national radio: Radio Taiwan International.
