N Ramachandran

Ramachandran (IPS 1978 Assam – Meghalaya) is the Founder and President of the Indian Police Foundation (IPF) – a multidisciplinary, independent think tank and policy advocacy platform dedicated to research and idea generation for the improvement of policing, promoting professionalism, integrity and the rule of law. He has extensive experience in District and State level policing, intelligence, security, conflict resolution, combating militancy and terrorism. Long experience in the elite Special Protection Group, responsible for security of the Prime Minister. He served as Chairman and CEO of the Cochin Port (2005-2011). He was Intelligence Chief of Assam and retired as Director General of Police, Meghalaya.
