Ekaterina Serova is Deputy Director of the Arctic Centre and Senior Lecturer at the Department of World History of Petrozavodsk State University. She holds a Master's degree in History and is currently a Ph.D. candidate (International Relations) after graduating from St. Petersburg State University. Her teaching and research areas involve Northern Security Studies and International Relations, primarily critical security studies. In addition to these activities, her university initiatives have included facilitating university-to-university partnerships, particularly relevant to the Arctic region, and ensuring their programmatic alignment. Since 2022, her broader academic projects involve investigating the multilateral and bilateral cooperation between Russia and Asian countries in the Arctic region.
