Dr. Frédéric Grare is Senior Research fellow at the ANU National Security College in Canberra, Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and Associate Senior Policy Fellow at the European Council on Foreign relations. Grare also worked for the French Ministry of Europe and External Afffairs as well as the Directorate for Strategic Affairs of the French Ministry of Defense.
He has published extensively on South Asia security issues as well as the Indo-Pacific. His last book, The Indian Ocean as a New Political and Security Region, co-written with Jean-Loup Samaan, was published by PalGrave in 2022.
